Drama Festivals May/June 2013

A new venture for the Players in early summer of 2013 when we competed in a couple of local drama festivals. Graham Jerome put together four of our female actresses in the one act comedy “Charity Begins” by Sandi Toksvig.

Here they are in rehearsal.

We are bring the play back to Aldermaston on 25/26 October in an evening of two one act plays, alongside Tom Stoppard/Clive Exton’s The Boundary.

25th & 26th October 2013

The company presented two evenings of One Act Plays on 25th & 26th October 2013 at the Parish Hall in Aldermaston. Both plays turn ‘workplace’ scenarios into comic situations albeit with some degree of absurdity.   The audience were treated to a slice of cake during the interval.

The Boundary

Set in the 1970’s –Arriving at the library to continue work on his dictionary, Johnson is horrified to discover that the place has been ransacked.
