Personals was conceived in 1985 by Marta Kauffman and David Crane who a few years later created the popular television comedy, Friends.
The songs in the show are from a collection of writers : Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Wicked) and Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast) , William Dreskin, Joel Phillip Friedman, Seth Friedman and Michael Skloff, who wrote Friends’ theme tune “I’ll Be There for You”.
